Quotes

Write a quote, set up a retainer or price a project in the calculator, then send it for the client to accept.

Three kinds of quote

KindFor
Manual quoteLines and prices you write yourself.
Monthly retainerA fixed monthly fee, or hours per role each month, with a minimum term, notice period and overage rate.
Calculated projectA price from the calculator (see below).

Prices are in SEK, shown with 25% VAT.

Sending a quote

Send to client shares it with everyone at the company and starts its validity (30 days by default). The client can then:

  • Accept quote: the quote is signed off.
  • Ask a question: their message comes back to you, and you can change the quote and send it again.
  • Decline.

You're notified of each answer. A declined quote can be revised and sent again.

When a quote is accepted

Knegt creates a project with the quote's title, hours and price as its budget, and a Backlog ticket for each line that maps to a kind of work. The tickets are ready to plan on the board.

The calculator

The calculator prices a project from templates (Website, E-commerce, Brand identity, Graphic design package, Motion / explainer, Video production, Photo and content) with complexity, rush, revision rounds and a discount, at your rates. It checks the margin against your target. It's marked Experimental.

Its settings hold your roles and rates (and rates per client), the defaults (contingency, rush, revision rounds, internal cost and target margin) and your terms: validity, payment terms and exclusions.
